Great Impressions

Hello.  I hope every one is enjoying their New Year's Eves.  Any big plans?  My husband and I just relax here at the house.  No big plans.

I thought I would just play with some of my older stamps.  The first ones that came to mind was my Great Impressions' stamps.  I haven't used them in a while, but I have some great one.

This little snowman is so cute.  I added glitter to the snowdrops.  The ribbon is glittery.  It was too stiff for a bow so I added two die cut snowflakes with a gem in the middle.

I am using the card in the following challenges:
   Digi Sketch - Winter Snowflake
Love To Create - Icy Winter Days
Crafty Creations - Build a Snowman
   Sweet 7 - Winter
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch #341

Have a great New Year's.  Chat with all of you soon.

Imagine That

Hello.  I hope everyone has a happy and safe New Year's Eve.

I have had this card on my desk for a couple of days now.  So I really wasn't making it at the last minute.   The image is from Imagine That by Kris.  It was the progressive stamp set for the month of December.  It is a great image to work with, but then most of Kris' images are.

The little holly button at the top corner is going to make mailing the card a little bulky but I think it should be ok to mail.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
   Imagine That - Progressive Challenge
Jelly Park Friday - Ribbon and/or Bows
Though the Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
   Wags N Whiskers - Christmas
Sugar Pea Designs - Sketch #17
   Dream Valley - Christmas

I hope you have a great day.

New Years

Hello.  I had meant to get online before this, but I just didn't make it.

This is the only New Year's card that I have made this year.  I have one more I want to make.  Maybe two.  The file is from Silhouette Online.  It was suppose to have the countdown numbers on the side but I added the glittery ribbon instead.  The ball does slide up and down.  It was also suppose to be a 5X7 card and I resized it to make it an A2 card.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   Brown Sugar - New Years
   Silhouette Challenges - Anything Goes
   Penny's Challenges - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes
   Wednesday's Inspiration - Christmas/New Years

Have a great afternoon.

Favorite Christmas Card

Hello again.  Me again.  In cleaning off my desk, I found a card that I forgot to post.    I made this card right before Christmas and I never had time to post it.

I don't know why but I love this image.  It is by Delicious Doodles.  I kept this one simple, but there is just so much you could do with the card.  I think the next time, I use it, I will cut out the tree and 3D it. Maybe I like it because it is so simple but yet full.

Instead of glitter, I used Liquid Pearls at the bottom of the tree branches.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
As You Like It - Favorite Christmas Image & why
   Repeat Impressions - Think Snow
Ave 613 Create - Anything Goes
   Cupcake Inspiration - Winter Wonderland
   Di's Digital - Winter Holiday
   Pile It On - Christmas
Scribble N Scraps - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes

Have a great night.

Cut It Up

Good Afternoon.  I hope everyone that celebrates is having a great day after Christmas.  The last two weeks has been busy busy busy.  As expected Christmas got here before I was ready.  But it was a great holiday.  My son was home from college a few days before and we all were able to just relax and enjoy the time together.

I haven't made too many post.  I just didn't have the time.  I do have a Christmas card to show you and some gift tags.  Hopefully this weekend, I will dig out and get the items posted for you.

With all of the holiday time, I forgot to post my Cut It Up post this morning.    I got a remainder and still was so busy that I forgot to do it.

The challenge for the next two weeks is New Beginnings (Babies).  You must have a die cut on your project.  I used one of my Silhouette cutting files.  I decided to use pink.  I have made a lot of little boys cards lately and I thought I could put this one up in case I needed it.

The sponsor this time is a $5 gift voucher from Digital Delights.

I hope to see all of you over at Cut It Up with a baby project.  Good luck.

Have a great evening and weekend.

I am not ready to put away my Christmas things yet.

One More

One more....And then I am heading to bed.  Hopefully I will see you tomorrow.

Do you have some challenges that you just hate to miss?  I do.  Die Cuttin' Divas is one of those.  I do miss it from time to time, but I think to make it.

I have had this Sweet N Sassy stamp on my table for a couple of weeks.  I thought the bear would work with the oval.

I am going to use the card in the following challenges:
   Die Cuttin' Divas - Sketch
Simon Says Monday - Holiday Cards
CASology - Old  (an older stamp set)
   Crafty Creations - Embossing
   Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Embossing
Penny's Challenges - Favorite Color (Red)
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes

Heading to bed.  Have a good one.

Christmas Tags

Hello.  It is hard to believe I haven't made anything in a week.  Hopefully I will have more time this week.  One of my projects, for this week, is wrapping presents.  So I decided to make some tags tonight.

I saw a similar one of these on the internet somewhere but I don't know where.  I just made the tag from memory.  I know the original had a snowman on it, but I didn't have a border that had a snowman so I have a house and a tree.  I also added the snowflake. I put the to and from on the back.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   Craft Your Passion - Presents
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Paper Take Weekly - Anything Goes
Through The Craftroom Door -  Anything Goes
   Tuesday Throwdown - Bling
   Simon Says Wednesday - Christmas/Holiday
   Brown Sugar - Winter
   Dream Valley - True Blue

Have a great night.

Peppermint Candy

Hello again.  This is the last one for tonight.  I have combined the last two challenges into one.

I think there are several shaped cards on Imagine That by Kris.  The jar is just perfect for making a shaped card and it is so easy using my Silhouette Cameo.

I cut out two of these and I wasn't thinking when I did it.  I made the card white.  So I took my inkpad and sponged around the edges to make the card look red.  On the second one, I am going to use green.  I thought about using my copic markers but I knew the color would bleed through to the inside of the card and I didn't want that.

I added some of my melted perler beads for the berries on the holly.  And added a peppermint candy to the inside of the  card.

I am using the card in the following challenges:
Imagine That by Kris - Progressive Challenge
Die Cuttin' Divas - Shaped Cards
   CASology - Eat

And this is it for tonight.  See you tomorrow.

From The Heart

Hello again.  I told you I had some challenges to work on.  I have two more after this one.  I don't know if I will get them both done.

This one is for From the Heart.  The sketch challenge was an easy one and I love the image of the month. I left her dress white since she is dressed like an angel.  Since I made the dress stash red, I made the ornaments green.  The perfect combo to make the card all Christmasy.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
From the Heart - Sketch #88
From The Heart - Progressive Challenge
City Crafters - Technique (Lots of layers)
   Repeat Impressions - DCC1119

Off to finish these.  Back later hopefully.

Winter Snowman

Hello.  I am really getting into the Christmas/Winter spirit.  It is cold here and I can't wait to get my Christmas tree up tomorrow.

I wanted to play with the Meljen's Design's facebook challenge.  I haven't had time to make a card for the challenge in a long time.  This weekend, it is the adorable little snowman.  It was quick to color and once I had the card put together, I added gems to the doodle area.

I am going to use the card in the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Baby, It's Cold Outside
    Meljen's Facebook Challenge
Crafty Sentiments - Die Cuts (snowflake)
Clear It Out - Winter Wishes/Snowflake
Fab N Funky - Die Cuts (snowflake)
   PaperTake Weekly - Your Pick
Digi Sketch Challenges - Die Cuts & Punches
Cuttlebug Mania - Snowflake + Sentiment
   Paper Creators Crafts - Christmas

Off to finish the rest of these.  Be back later.

Sunday after Thanksgiving

Hello.  I was planning on this being my relaxing day.  It hasn't worked out that way, but hopefully this evening, I will have some time.

I wanted to work on a few challenges today, so this is my first card of several hopefully.   The little reindeer badge is my Squigglefly.  I cut to out with my Silhouette so I could add an layer.  Next time, I made cut an extra nose.

I was going to emboss the bottom corner but I decided to leave it as it was to keep it simple and clean.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
Crazy Hazelnut's Patterned Paper - Anything Goes
Eureka's - Non Traditional Holiday Cards
Love To Create - Color Inspired
Seems A Little Sketch - Sketch
   Squigglefly - Deer
Through The Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
   Wednesday's Inspirational -  Season's Greetings
   Penny's Challenges - Anything Goes

And lastly As You Like It - Traditional & Why (I just love the traditional colors and even though this is a non-traditional color card, it still looks like a traditional card)

Have a great evening.

Countdown Tags

Hello and Happy Black Friday to every one living in the USA.  What shopping I did, I did online.  So much easier.  You don't have to fight the crowds.  I did get some Christmas shopping done.  I just need to get my tree up.  Maybe tomorrow.

These are the tags for my countdown gifts.  They are so cute but man, does it take a while to make them all  I am hoping to be back later with the day two gift.

I am going to use these tags in the following challenges:
   Glitter N Sparkle - Tags
Creative Cutting - Anything But a Card
   Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar Challenges - Anything Goes
Scribble N Scrap - Anything Goes

Have a great night and weekend.

Cut It Up

Good morning.  I am late late late.  And to make matter worst, I made my card wrong.  So I have remade my card and I am posting it.  It is late but at least it is right.

It is time for another challenge at Cut It Up.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.  The theme is non-traditional Christmas cards, no red or green and no standard cards (square or rectangle).  The sponsor this time is Cute As A Button.  She will be offering a $20 gift certificate.

I made my card off-white and gold.  I have never used burlap on my cards so I thought I would add some.  I cut the snowflake with my Silhouette Cameo and then ran it through my Xerox and added the gold glitter.

I hope you go over and enter the challenge at Cut It Up.

Have a great day.

Countdown to Christmas - Day 1

Hello.  This is going to be a quick post because I am running late and I have to work today.  This is my first countdown to Christmas present.  (I will explain later).

When I saw this little elephant, I knew I had to make something of him.  He makes the perfect little tag to go on my candy bag.

I am going to use him in the following challenges:
   Craftin Desert Divas - Tags
My Craft Spot - 3D Christmas
   Love To Create - Christmas
   Fan-tastic Tuesday - Masculine
   Penny's Challenge - Anything Goes
Through The Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
   Tuesday Throwdown - Christmas Tags

Have a great day.

Ok, I am home from work, so I will explain the countdown to Christmas gifts.  Every year, I make small gifts for my husband and son.  They get one every day as a countdown to Christmas.  It isn't any thing major just things I have made.  It doesn't even have to be candy.  Here is the tag with the candy.

Once again, have a great evening...

Pumpkins

Hello.  I can't believe it is the end of November and Thanksgiving is next week.  I am so not ready.  I had meant to spend today getting some things done but it didn't work that  way.

I finally sat down tonight and made a card.  When my sister sees this, she is going to be mad because I made it without her.  But I have only ever used my sketch pens once and I wanted to make something with them, before we got together.  It is hard to tell someone how to do something if you don't know yourself.  I am going to pick another project tomorrow and put the stitch lines on it so I can get some more practice.

I got the image from Silhouette Online.  I thought it would make a great card so I just had to make.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
2 Cute Ink Challenges - Color Inspiration
   Artistic Inpiration - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Pumpkins or Turkeys
   Die-Cutting Divas - Thanksgiving
Digi Sketch Challenges -  Food or Sketch
Clear It Out - Anything Goes
   PINspirational - Fall /Thanksgiving
A Gem of a Challenge - Kraft and one more color

Off to watch a movie.  Have a great night.

Meljen's Thomas Turkey

Hello again.  As I mentioned before, I liked this sketch from Saturday Sketch.  I decided to use it one more time.

I thought a small Thomas Turkey from Meljen's Designs would work really well.  I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette. Once again, I used glitter paper instead of a ribbon.  The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas

I am using this card in the following challenges:
   Brown Sugar Challenges - Thanksgiving
   Meljen's Designs - Autumn Colors
   Peachy Keen - Thankful
   Wags N Whiskers - Let's Be Thankful
Glitter N Sparkle - Autumn Colors
   Creative Cutting - Thanksgiving

Have a great night.

Rubber Ducky

Hello.  My internet once again working great.  It is so nice.

I work in the kitchen at our local school.  We cook breakfast and lunch for K-12, so there is a lot of dishes to wash.  One of the girls is always saying that our sinks are big enough to take a bath in and that she really needs a rubber ducky floating it them.  Her birthday is coming up so I thought I would put a rubber ducky on her birthday card.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.  But I changed it a little bit.  I used glitter paper instead of a ribbon and I made the ducky my side embellishment.  I added the sentiment at the bottom of the smallest layer.  The ducky is from Silhouette Online.

I like this sketch.  I might use it again.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
ABC Challenges - W is for Water
   Digital Delights - Patterns
Paper Take Weekly - 2 or 4 Legs
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Through The Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch #335

Hopefully, I will be back later, but just in case, have a great night.

Last One

I changed the photo with a corrected snowflake on 11/12/14.

Last one for tonight.  Wow, I have gotten several cards done today.  But it is time to quit.  My internet is acting up again and I really need a new cutting blade.  I have one coming in tomorrow.  I hope it will be here when I get off work.

I wasn't going to do Craft Spot by Kimberly's Metal challenge, but my sister talked me into it.  I have two metal snowmen left so I decided to use them on this easel card.  The snowflake isn't cut as well as I would like it, so I am going to cut another one tomorrow with my new blade.  I will change the picture tomorrow.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
   Wednesday's Inspiration - Easel Card
   Craft Spot - Metal
Paper Creators Crafts - Anything Goes
Scribble & Scraps - Anything Goes
   Craty Calendar Challenges - Christmas
   Jellyparik Friday - Christmas

Have a great night.  See you tomorrow after work.
